ALAN DOYLE

BIO
“Rhythm and poetry is what I do best/ Identity is what I got in my jeans, so who guessed?” That’s one of the many clever lines that have come from a young man out of the 918. His name is Alan Doyle, in case you didn’t know & he was always inspired by music from a young age. It didn’t matter what genre it was, he would listen anything that appeals to him.

He was born in Michigan City, Indiana & later raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In 1999, Alan would use his mother’s computer to mess around on Windows’ Sound Recorder by cutting & pasting samples together. He grew up playing soccer & in 2000, he chose a number for the Broken Arrow Magic. He chose the number…. 4! At Broken Arrow South Intermediate High School, he would draw on his book cover (ironically, in his 4th class of the day) & he created a logo that has stuck with him to this very day. One of his friends had called him “The Number 4” one day & he has stuck with it.

In 2001, he moved to Tulsa, where he attended nearby Jenks High School. To this day, he despises that school but still a lot of friends from there. In 2003, he decided to dropout of the school but before he did, he would somewhat develop his music making skills. Basically, he would loop other rappers’ instrumentals so his friends could freestyle to them. After a while, he got tired of doing that & decided to make his own instrumentals. During that time, Alan would start to write & record his own lyrics to his instrumentals & wanted to make his first album. Living up to “The Number 4” moniker, he decided to name his album “FOUR PLAY”.

The first album wasn’t that great. The second album “FOURshadow” was a little better. Since then, he would focus a little more on the lyrical ability that has become a lost art in the rap game. He would do that in an album he partially worked on, called “The Un4given Number”. He gave up on that album because he had so many ideas for new songs, he wanted to start on another album. He would call that album “fournography” & he is currently promoting that album.

In addition to being a rapper, Alan is also an actor. His credits include the short films “The Scott Daily Story” & “2 Best Friends”. He is currently working on a new sketch comedy show called “WTF” that should be on the air this fall.
