1)who were some of your early influences, growing up, in music and the entertainment industry? THERE ARE SO MANY ARTISTS THAT INSPIRE ME AND I LOOK UP TO. GROWING UP I WOULD LISTEN TO MARIAH CAREY, WHITNEY HOUSTON TONI BRAXTON, MARY J BLIGE. AS I GOT OLDER I LEARNED MORE AND STARTED LISTENING TO THE GREATS LIKE BILLY HOLIDAY, ETTA JAMES, ARETHA FRANKLIN THATS HOW I LEARNED EVERYTHING FROM LISTENING TO THEM
2)Did your family show great support of your singing ability?
AS A KID YES BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS CUTE BUT WHEN I BECAME SERIOUS ABOUT IT THEY WERE AND STILL ARE TOTALLY AGAINST IT
3) what was your American Idol tryout experience like and would you ever tryouut again?
IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE BECAUSE I MET AMAZING TALENTED PEOPLE AND IT WAS A LOT OF FUN. BUT I DONT THINK THE SHOW IS FAIR, I ALMOST TRIED OUT AGAIN BUT MOST OF MY FANS AND SUPPORTERS WERE AGAINST IT AND I THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND DECIDED NOT TO DO IT
4) how would you describe your music?
I WANT TO DO SO MUCH AND I LOVE ALL KINDS OF MUSIC THAT IT KINDA SHOWS IN MINE. I LIKE POP, HIP HOP, AND I LOVE R&B SO ITS A MIXTURE OF THOSE THREE SOUNDS
5) you know many artist come and go in terms of their music,people like whitney Houston,Mariah or Celine Dion have very long lasting music,how do you think you would assure that you'd be around for a long time?
AS FAR AS MY MUSIC GIVE THEM SOMETHING NEW EVERYTIME, ADD SOME OF MY MIDDLE EASTERN FLAIR TO IT, BUT AS FAR AS AN ARTIST STAY AWAY FROM TROUBLE, AND BAD PUBLICITY, I DONT WANT MY BUSINESS TO BE ALL OUT THERE FOR NO REASON SO I KEEP EVERYTHING HUSH HUSH UNTIL IT IS NECESSARY FOR ME TO REVEAL IT
6) what would you like your music to say to people? like some of todays music seems stuck in one mode,have fun, make money, do you feel alot of the story telling is not into days music?
THERE STILL IS SOME STORY TELLING, ARTISTS LIKE KANYE WEST FOR EXAMPLE TO ME CHANGED TODAYS MUSIC OR IS ATLEAST TRYING. YOU CANT HELP BUT TALK ABOUT MAKING MONEY HAVING FUN AND ALL THAT BECAUSE THATS ALL PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR, SO ARTISTS ARE FORCED TO DO WHATS HOT BECAUSE THATS WHAT THE LABELS ARE PUSHING, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE WELL ROUNDED I CAN DO THOSE FUN SONGS BUT AT THE SAME TIME I WANT TO SEND OUT A MESSAGE WITH MY MUSIC TELL STORIES TELL THEM ABOUT MY LIFE, TEACH A LESSON ALL THAT AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH DOING BOTH
7) Ive mentioned some of your early influences growing up, who are some now?.
MARIAH CAREY, ALICIA KEYS, MARY J BLIGE, BEYONCE KNOWLES, JENNIFER LOPEZ EACH HAVE A DIFFERENT REASON WHY THEY INSPIRE ME BUT THEY ARE ALL AMAZING WOMEN
8) where do you see yourself in the future? movies? producing? family?marriage?.
ALL OF THE ABOVE :) I DEFINETLY WANT TO ACT THATS MY SECOND LOVE, AND I WANT TO DISCOVER NEW TALENT AND WRITE FOR THEM, AND DEFINETLY MEET THE RIGHT PERSON GET MARRIED AND HAVE KIDS
9) would you want to be a role model?
I ALREADY BELIEVE I AM A ROLE MODEL. ESPECIALLY TO MIDDLE EASTERN GIRLS BECAUSE WE ARE SO AFRAID TO STEP OUT OF THE DARK AND BE NOTICED BY OUR TALENTS I THINK IM OPENING THE DOOR TO MORE JUST LIKE ME

With passion, ambition, and drive there is no stopping her. Tara was Born September 30th in Kirkuk, Iraq. She began singing at a young age because music was a part of the family and in her everyday life. Her family moved to the U.S. when she was seven years old and from that day on she was determined to be a star. Tara learned the English language quickly and fell in love with the music. In school she joined the concert choir and also sang in the church choir. In high school she became even more involved in her music she participated in all the talent shows, she was in the show choir, concert choir, and sang at family events. She graduated from Berkley High in 2002 and started her singing career while attending college. Tara recorded her first song "My Paradise" at a professional studio and recorded the rest of her first CD "Ambition" at home in her own studio, with the help of her brother. She has auditioned for American Idol, Gimme the Mic, NYC Fame, and much more. She was also crowned the Chaldean Idol. After that she went to Miami for the New York Music Festival and won best solo performer. She was handpicked by the shows producer to be part of Vote (variety of talented entertainers), a show that debuted in Las Vegas June 25th, 2005. She also starred in an urban musical called "LIFE", in September of 2005 in San Francisco. Tara is getting her name out locally by performing in various nightclubs and is known for putting on a great performance. She has opened up for many artists such as freestyle singers Johnny O, Lil Susie, Stevie B, and Sharyn Maceren. Also R&B artists Karl Wolf and Massari, and rapper Trick Trick. Tara is the singer many local artists turn to for collaborations; she adds the spice to their songs.
