Yung Trife was born as Kolby Reeves on August 24, 1987 in McAlester, OK. He was raised in Eufaula, OK where he found his love for music at the age of seven. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 2005. He began recording songs and made his first tape at the age of 12. He later attended NSU Talequah where he began taking rap more seriously by networking with other artists every chance he got. He got into legal trouble and was incarcerated. He was released at the age of 20 and founded Yung Blocc Entertainment. Since, he has opened for Paul Wall and Devin the Dude, and has performed in numerous local shows in Tulsa and Joplin, Missouri. He has also opened Yung Blocc Entertainment Recording Studio to the public. It is located in Claremore, OK. He has also signed a producer to the label by the name of Duki Dave.
